How to check that we are a genuine software reseller

You should not have to take our word for it. Our partner status with Microsoft is published by Microsoft itself, on its own website, and you can look it up in about a minute. Here is exactly where to look.

Why this page exists

The market for discounted software keys has a real problem, and pretending otherwise would not help anyone. Plenty of sites sell Office or Photoshop for a fraction of the retail price, and a good number of those keys come from volume licence agreements that were never meant to be split up and resold one at a time. They often activate. They are still not what the buyer thinks they are bought, and they can stop working later.

Because anyone can put a logo on a website, a claim of authenticity is worth very little on its own. What has some weight is a claim you can independently check against a source we do not control. Below are three of those.

1. Our Microsoft partner listing

Microsoft publishes its partners in a public directory on the Microsoft Marketplace. Our company appears there under our registered name.

2. Our company registration

Partner status tells you who we buy from. Company registration tells you who you are buying from, and who you could hold responsible if something went wrong. We are a UK limited company, and our filings are public.

What this does, and does not, prove

We would rather be straight with you about the limits of all this, because overstating it would undermine the point of publishing it.

It does show that Microsoft recognises us as a partner, that we buy through authorised channels rather than the grey market, and that there is a real registered company behind this shop with a name and an address attached to it.

It does not mean that Microsoft operates this website, endorses our prices, or answers for our service. It does not. We are an independent retailer, and our support, our refunds and our mistakes are ours. If we get something wrong, you come to us.
